How to introduce yourself to someone?

i think this guy that goes to my school is really cute and i want to introduce myself to him, but i dont know how! none of my friends know him, so they can't introduce me. i don't have any cles with him at school, so i can't ask something about the cl. a lot of people are telling me to compliment something he is wearing and then be like ohhh im Kelsey by the way, but he wears the same gray jacket and old tennis shoes every day so that wouldn't work.... any other things i could do? help is soooo appreciated!
