What is the folow-up treatment for a recovering coma patient?

I am writing a story about a fictional character who is recovering from a coma. He was involved in a car accident and was in a drug induced/real coma for about a month or so. Anyway, what follow-up procedures should I incorporate into my story? Medication, rehab, etc. I will greatly appreciate any help, thank you. =)
