Is the hit TV show 'Fear factor' real?

Because I was watching it today and it was their "Physco" edition, These people were showering in Blood, eating Huge spiders and Doing crazy stunts. On some of there other shows a lot of the stunts that they Perform seem so Un do-able, Like one girl was swimming with Alligators, people were covered in Tarantulas and They had to eat pizza covered in blood, old cheese, eye and worms. it Just doesn't seem possible or real!
