What did the central government of the Articles Of Confederation consist of?

The only thing I could find was that the Central Government was just the legislative branch. It was called the Congress of the Confederation. The leader of the Congress was called the President of the United States in Congress embled. This person was not really an executive as defined in the Constitution. He was more like a Speaker of the House.
