How to disinfect silver ring and mood ring?!?!? GERMS!!!?

How would you disinfect a silver puzzle ring and a mood ring? I was taking out the trash and I think it got full of germs. The mood ring says to not put it in water because it will neutralize the bonding and make it fall apart. The silver puzzle ring is just a sterling silver ring. Would those disinfecting wipes work? Or should I use the hand sanitizer wipes? Would it ruin the silver and mood ring? Or should I use soap for the ring? And if you say ammonia, what is it?
