AGH! boy troubles.... help please?

okay so, im goin in 9th grade come sept. theres this guy, eric, & i had a huge crush on him from 11/06-6/07. he made me signs for my b-day & over breaks i missed him so much & we talked non-stop. my whole grade thought i liked him. i kno cause i heard rumors everywhere & people told me. but then this other girl came into the pic. i'll call her C. she talked to him about me & not in a good way, she's so obnoxious, loud & annoying, i dont know how he puts up with her. i personally want to rip her face off. but so once, i was sitting with 2 of my friends in the library, & eric & C were sitting by themselves & my friends mentioned how they'd make such a cute couple. i went insane, but didnt say anything. & when we went to DC he was a total to me so i rethought everything & realized i didnt like him anymore. & there've been rumors since ever that hes gay but i dont believe them. but now schools back & so are my feelings for him, & i dont know what to do! should i let it be or what??
